Who We Are

Stride Therapy and Wellness is a pediatric practice that provides child and family-centered Early Intervention services, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, and other related services to children of all ages.

We serve children and families who have a variety of diagnoses including autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder, cerebral palsy, speech and language difficulties, motor impairments, feeding difficulties, developmental delay, and neurological disorders.

Our Approach

Our services are rooted in person and family-centeredness and we believe that family, school, and community act as the cruxes of child development. We aim to provide services that will enhance the capacities of children, parents, caregivers, schools, and community organizations. We collaborate with parents, caregivers, schools, and the community to ensure each child meets their goals.

Meet the Stride Team

  • Dianne Robinson, MM

    Practice Manager

    Dianne is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis and received a Masters in Management from Fontbonne University. Dianne has decades of experience enhancing the abilities of children, adults, and families to meet their needs, despite personal and environmental obstacles. She has a background in Social Work and Family Intervention. She has two decades of experience in Team and Office Management. She utilizes her background to assist with coordinating services, facilitating intake processes, and acting as the administrative backbone of Stride Therapy and Wellness.

  • Dr. Jianna Fernandez, OTD, OTR/L

    Clinical Director | Occupational Therapist

    Dr. Jianna earned a Doctorate of Occupational Therapy from Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine. She has a passion for strengthening the community by enhancing the capacities of adults, children, youth, and families. During her doctoral experience, she acted as a researcher on a project to design an assessment that measures childhood therapeutic outcomes. Her work was published in a peer-reviewed journal article, The Infant Toddler Activity Card Sort: A Caregiver Report Measure of Children’s Occupational Engagement in Family Activities and Routines (as published in OTJR: Occupation, Participation, and Health). She is currently involved in research related to Pediatric Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy (CIMT).

    Dr. Jianna has experience working as an Occupational Therapist in schools, outpatient clinics, and within the community. She has experience working with children who have a variety of diagnoses, including (but not limited to) Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delay, Premature Birth, Feeding and Sensory Processing Difficulties, and Down Syndrome.

    She has a passion for building the skills that children and families need to thrive in their homes and communities! She uses a holistic approach to treatment- addressing all dimensions of wellness during treatment.

  • Maggie Donnelly, MSOT, OTR/L

    Occupational Therapist

    Maggie graduated in December of 2021 with a Master's in occupational therapy from Allen College. During her Level IIA fieldwork experience, she was assigned to an outpatient clinic, which served rural communities in northern Iowa. This allowed her the opportunity to work with children with a wide variety of diagnoses including: autism, ADHD, down syndrome, OCD, generalized anxiety disorder, cerebral palsy, sensory processing disorder, and different developmental delays. She also has experience working in the community-based mental health setting, which allowed her to work with adults in correctional facilities and adults with intellectual disabilities.

    Currently, she is working in a hospital where she sees adults in both acute and outpatient settings. Along with her job at the hospital, she is also working with Stride Therapy and Wellness. Maggie has always had a passion to work with children. She enjoys getting to know each family personally and providing them with the strategies needed to help their child gain independence. Maggie’s goal is to get more experience working in the pediatric world, and eventually become a certified neonatal therapist.

  • Raquel Nunn COTA/L

    Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

    Raquel received her Bachelor of Science from Indiana University in 2008. Shortly after, was drawn to the St. Louis area with her soon-to-be husband, where she furthered her education and graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program with Honors. Since beginning her OT career in 2016 she has become a wife, mother to two toddler boys, and is currently adjunct teaching at St. Louis Community College as a Pediatric Lab instructor within their OTA program.

    Raquel has experience delivering pediatric occupational therapy services within an outpatient setting, therapeutic day school, and elementary and middle schools. Raquel has worked with children with a variety of diagnoses such as Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and childhood developmental and motor delays. Raquel promotes incorporating the child’s abilities and interests within child-centered approaches in order to progress the child towards their goals. Raquel believes that early intervention is key in setting the child’s foundation for further acquisition of development and skills. She sees the utmost importance in supporting parent-infant interaction and co-regulation throughout sessions. Overall, Raquel is continuously inspired by the flourishing results and benefits of providing early intervention occupational therapy services.

  • Speech Therapy

    Christina Vicari M.S, CCC-SLP

    Speech Language Pathologist

    Christina received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Science and Disorders as well as her Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from Saint Louis University. She began working in St. Louis in 2020 as a school-based SLP, working with children from 5-14 years old. Throughout this time, Christina worked with a variety of different speech and language diagnoses. She also has experience writing and case-managing IEPs. Christina has worked with children and adults with various diagnoses that affect speech and language such as Autism, ADHD, genetic disorders, cerebral palsy, and developmental delays. She also has experience in skilled nursing facilities and inpatient rehab facilities.

    Christina enjoys working with children and their families to encourage the carryover of skills to different environments. Christina is dedicated to providing a supported environment and fostering meaningful interactions in order to encourage the learning of new skills and to enhance overall communication for clients and families. She is excited to have joined a great team at Stride Therapy and Wellness and welcomes the opportunity to work with you and your child!

  • Robyn Mraz, SLP

    Speech-Language Pathologist

    Robyn received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Science and Disorders as well as her Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology, from Maryville University. She began working as a school-based SLP in 2019, working with children from 4-11 years old, focusing on Speech Sound Disorders, Language Impairments, and pragmatics/social skills. Robyn has worked with children and adults with a variety of diagnoses such as Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, and developmental delays. She has also had experience in outpatient clinics, rehab facilities, and skilled nursing facilities.

    Robyn enjoys building relationships with the children and families she gets to work with. Her goal is to always provide exceptional speech language therapy services; giving clients and their support systems the tools to thrive!

  • Casey Stalling, M.S, CCC-SLP

    Speech Language Pathologst

    Casey has been a Speech-Language Pathologist for 25 years, supporting children as they develop and advance their speech, language, social- emotional- communication skills, and executive functioning.

    She has acquired extensive and diverse experience as a Lead Clinician in a pediatric hospital, with an emphasis in the neonatal and pediatric intensive care and neuro-rehab units. Across settings, she has treated communication and feeding disorders resulting from diagnoses such as traumatic brain injury, epilepsy, and neuromuscular disorders.

    Casey is a strong advocate, focused on integrating comprehensive expertise, child and family perspectives, and evidence-based practice. She follows a collaborative, holistic model, working within an interdisciplinary team to design and implement developmentally supportive interventions for children diagnosed with developmental disabilities such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, and Specific Learning Disabilities.

    Casey’s purpose is to support children in natural and meaningful ways and in ways in which everyone feels they matter. Her sessions reflect inclusivity, acknowledgment, and affirmation.
